Korean-Indonesia Ceramic Art and Korea-ASEAN Cultural Heritage Immersive Experience

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Indonesia and to welcome the 2023 ASEAN Summit, the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia—in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia, the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Jakarta, the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and the National Museum of Indonesia—is hosting an immersive exhibition titled "The Magical Korea-ASEAN Cultural Heritage Immersive Experience." Additionally, a ceramics exhibition titled "Korean-Indonesia Ceramic Art Connecting 5,296 KM" is being held.

This 22-minute exhibition showcases the beauty and grandeur of the cultural heritage of Korea and ASEAN member states through immersive technology. "The Magical Korea-ASEAN Cultural Heritage Immersive Experience" also highlights the beauty of Busan, a city currently bidding to host World Expo 2030. The event took place at the National Museum, commencing with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia.

The ceramics exhibition, held alongside the Immersive Experience, showcases numerous works from the Gyeonggi Museum in Korea, as well as pieces by Indonesian artists from the National Gallery of Indonesia. Beyond simply admiring the art, visitors can witness firsthand the ceramic-making process demonstrated by Korean artists and enjoy Korean tea during a ceremony hosted by the organizers.
